THE OUSA EXECUTIVE

I am the Media Spokesperson for OUSA and Student issues in general, representative to the University, Government and wider public (contact point for national and local community bodies), I oversee all aspects of the organisation that is OUSA – I (on behalf of the executive) employ the General Manager who then employs the rest of the staff of OUSA.
I am working on: increasing engagement and communication with students, providing new (and aggregating existing) work experience opportunities for students, streamlining sport on campus – making it easier to join sports teams and compete and creating more sport related social activities, reviewing OUSA’s financial position and working to reduce reliance on student levy and capital reserves, and on more support for clubs that have overlapping functions with OUSA.
I represent you on these committees: All internal OUSA committees, University Council, Senate, University Capital Development and Finance Committee, North Dunedin Working Party, University Union Limited Board of Directors, Planet Media Dunedin Limited Board, Unipol Board, Ethical Behaviour Committee, NZUSA Federation of Executives subcommittee.
